Be part of the creation of a new park management system and develop your capacity through on-the-job training with experienced forest patrolling officers!Patrol Station Supervisor leads a law enforcement team of 12 men. Responsible for stopping forest crimes in his patrol quadrant: logging, land grabbing, slash and burn, charcoal kilns, wildlife poaching. Primary responsibility to implement patrolling according to schedules and react quickly when information is received from informants to take timely action to stop traders and loggers. Supervisor’s first role is to prevent corruption, assure proper patrolling and proper legal processing. Responsible for team discipline and motivation, assuring good relationships amongst team members, station maintenance, station security, logistics, health matters and managing station budget. Liaises with localauthorities. Reports directly to Field Coordinator. Provides monthly reports.
Profile: Must have a minimum of 3 year experience in a team supervisory position in the field. Must be strict in control management. Willing to stay up to 3 consecutive months in remote post. Love wilderness and commitment to protect nature. Must be fluent in English. Computer literate of Microsoft Word and Excel.
