Carbon management and corporate responsibility issues are being elevated in importance as stakeholders become more aware of the impact of business on our environment and social infrastructure. Our professionals can help clients build sustainable business value by aligning corporate strategy and governance and designing new business and reporting processes with effective internal controls to meet the challenges of the current and future marketplace. Our professionals work with clients through our key service offerings in the areas of corporate responsibility, environmental, health and safety program assessment, sustainability program development, sustainable supply chain and greenhouse gas and climate change issues in response to evolving legislation and market dynamics.
Responsibilities:
• Develop Green House Gas (GHG) advisory and verification products and strategies
• Identifying sales opportunities in the market
• Lead the development of proposals, carbon management, and GHG risk/liability advisory
• Lead projects for key clients; work with senior KPMG leaders from other practice areas to enhance and integrate their services
• Help organizations to manage their physical, regulatory and reputational risks
• Provide leadership, direction, and guidance to clients.
• Identify performance improvement opportunities for clients
• Identify prospective engagements, develop proposals and lead project contract negotiations
• Identify and build long-term business relationships with new target clients and key executives
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university
• Fifteen years of experience within related disciplines, ten years of consulting and/or senior management experience and five years of GHG advisory and verification experience
• Demonstrated North American marketplace credibility as a GHG subject matter expert
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to offer strategic insight and direction
• Excellent written and oral business communication skills; able to write at a “publication” quality level
• Strong experience with strategic corporate clients with North American assets and business interests
• Demonstrated experience with strategic planning , consensus, and relationship building
• Track record in large scale project management and business development
• Demonstrated ability to lead and manage carbon advisory projects
• Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with a diverse group of clients
• Ability to identify critical drivers to client service delivery
• Demonstrated ability to quickly build strong internal and external networks
• Demonstrated track record of leadership, client management and project management
• Exceptional interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to gain the confidence and respect of senior level executives
• Strong analytical skills
• Able to travel up to 60 percent of the time
