URS is a global leading environmental and engineering consultancy firm. We are now recruiting an Environmental Management Consutant in our Brussels office to work as an outsourced member of the Environmental Management Team on an a key military project and will work closely with the Environmental Protection Specialist in managing environmental issues.
You will contribute to the implementation of the environmental policy of the organization and develop management plans ans standing operation procedures (SOPs)
You will contribute to corrective actions issued from environmental management audits
You will perform environmental inspections and audits across the installations
You will provide environmental awareness training to military and civilian employees in French and English
You have at least 1-2 years of experience in environmental management; either built up within a consulting environment or within an industrial environment.
-You are a native French speaker and speak and write fluent in English. Knowlegde of the Dutch language is an asset but not essential.
-You are considered as a good communicator and have a result-driven mentelity.
-You have a proven ability to work as part of a project team
- You are able to work in a structured work environment combining both military and civilian activities.
-You have good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of hazardous material is an asset.
