The Crown Estate, valued at over £6 billion, manages a highly diverse property portfolio across the UK. The Windsor estate includes Windsor and Swinley Forests, both of which evolved from mediaeval Royal hunting forests; we now protect over 3,000 hectares (7,600) acres of forestry.

In this role you will be our main representative in the forests, with responsibility for trees and wildlife. Your work will vary from dealing with the visiting public, to protecting vulnerable conservation sites, to reporting on hazardous trees for the tree management system. You will also manage any accidents and emergencies as well as carry out minor boundary repairs and other general forest tasks.

With demonstrable experience of a similar forestry role and a sound knowledge of arboriculture, you will enjoy dealing with visitors, have the ability to work using your own initiative and possess excellent communication skills. We are looking for NPTC / Lantra qualifications; a full driving licence and knowledge of tree surveying instruments.
