carbonjobs has been engaged by a specialist bioenergy asset development company to recruit an experienced General / Commercial Manager into a newly created role.

Reporting directly to the group’s entrepreneurial Chief Executive Officer, you will be chiefly responsible for the following tasks:

- Oversee the origination, financing and financial management of an asset portfolio which is anticipated to growth significantly through to 2020.

- Principal accountability for generating revenues including originating projects to partner with farmers, food processors, miners and local communities to build, own and operate safe, reliable and profitable assets.

- Principal accountability for providing technical, economic, commercial, stakeholder, competitor, market and marketing data into the annual strategic, business and operational planning process.

- Primary responsibility for implementing a specialist Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system including training of the Operational Team and supply chain partners to ensure critical project, design and risk management data are managed effectively and  efficiently within the PLM system.

- Primary responsibility for securing project approvals, connection agreements with network owners and power purchase agreements (PPA).

- Primary responsibility for securing off-take arrangements (short term) and trading arrangements (medium term) for commodities produced by the bioenergy asset portfolio. (PPA, LGCs, ACCU’s etc).

- Ensuring that the group executes its responsibilities for Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) and Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S).

This is a unique opportunity to join an established business, boasting some of Australia’s leading Cleantech Executives, on the journey from commercially proven technology phase through to major project expansion.

Please note: This opening will be subject to additional financing being secured by our client in December 2011 / January 2012.  We are not yet at the stage of first round interviews to ensure that all expectations and properly managed.
