This is a temporary appointment to cover a period of sickness absence. The Volunteering Development Officer (VDO) is responsible for encouraging and supporting volunteer involvement in the work of the Trust, including supporting staff in role development, volunteer recruitment, induction and ongoing support. They take a lead role in the implementation of our voluntary trainee placements. They will also be expected to support effective administration within this small team and make a contribution to volunteering communications and events.
The successful candidate will have practical experience and understanding of office work within a dynamic and busy organisation as well as an understanding of volunteering and its role within the Trust. They will have good verbal and written communication skills and be highly IT literate.
Working hours will be 21 hours per week.
