Dorset County Council has an excellent reputation for work on climate change, sustainability, carbon management and energy efficiency. We are currently developing our services in these areas and are therefore looking to appoint a creative and committed engineer to the newly created Sustainable Property Team. You could be involved in a range of different projects across these areas of work. However, it will be a particular advantage to have knowledge and experience of energy efficiency techniques, renewable energy technologies and controls systems, especially Trend, which is used throughout our estate. You will also be required to help develop a fee earning dimension to our services so they can be delivered outside the County Council and achieve an income. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in this exciting and expanding field, in a beautiful part of the country. You will have a relevant professional qualification, a good understanding of building services and have proven experience in energy efficiency.
